Tim Steer: fund managers will have to get 'stuck in'

The second part of our interview with former Citywire AAA-rated fund manager Tim Steer focuses on how the profession has changed over the past 20 years.

Steer, who has written a book titled the Signs Were There since stepping back from fund management in 2015, talks about how artificial intelligence is having an impact.

He also argues company annual reports will become more important going forward, as fund managers have to work harder to find alpha.

In his book, Steer tells the tale of 22 firms that suffered dramatic falls in their share prices and how investors should have spotted the warnings signs. But what was it like to work for a firm which suffered such a fate?

Part 1 of the Steer video can be viewed here – How to spot a stock disaster coming.
