Rowan Dartington taps Lloyds for Northern wealth boss

Rowan Dartington taps Lloyds for Northern wealth boss

Rowan Dartington has hired Lloyds director Glen Wilson to oversee its business in the North of England from a base in Leeds.

Wilson joins following 12 years at the bank, most recently as regional head of small business loans in the Midlands.

He joined the business via subsidiary Scottish Widows, working as senior intermediary relationship manager at the insurance business in 2010/11, and senior manager for RDR between 2011/12.

He fills a position previously occupied by Bryan Parkinson, who has been appointed to head Rowan Dartington Intermediaries & International, the division formerly known as Rowan Dartington Signature.

Rowan Dartington executive chair Graham Coxell (pictured) said: ‘Since our acquisition by St James’s Place,  Rowan Dartington’s intermediary and international divisions have gone from strength to strength.

‘As managing director of these businesses, Bryan will focus on expanding our already strong industry presence, whilst also bolstering our international services.

‘We also have great ambitions in the regions and continually strive to strengthen and support our teams across the UK. We are therefore pleased to have Glen on board driving forward development in the north.’

Over the year to July, Rowan Dartington increased its headcount from 131 people to more than 250, while also broadening its geographical reach.

SJP put in a further £5 million last year to help the company’s expansion plans, on top of an earlier £12 million cash injection in 2017.
