What is your typical client demographic?

A high net worth serial entrepreneur or someone who recently retired and is looking to pass wealth on to the next generation.

What differentiates your region?

Yorkshire is a massive county with a very strong local loyalty. Our clients often live one or two hours from the Leeds hub but still want to deal with us here in Yorkshire if they move away.

What challenges are facing your local area?

New business is largely generated through recommendations from existing clients and intermediaries. We have to maintain the right balance between personalised services and providing the appropriate offering to each client.

What is the best thing about living in your region?

Yorkshire has long been described as ‘God’s own country’, where three of the UK’s national parks provide stunning scenery for locals and guests alike. Leeds, as a city, provides all the benefits of a growing vibrant economy with a thriving financial services sector.

What is a typical saying in your region?

I’ve always found the following saying amusing: ‘Ear all, see all, say nowt. Eyt all, sup all, pay nowt. And if ivver tha does owt fer nowt, allus do it fer thissen.’ It loosely translates as: ‘Hear all, see all, say nothing. Eat all, drink all, pay nothing. And if ever you do anything for nothing, always do it for yourself.’ I find it amusing because Yorkshire folk are, in reality, incredibly friendly and helpful.

Bullish or bearish?

Bullish.

What is your office motto?

Our motto is ‘work hard, play hard’.
