International Women's Day 2019 video: fund and wealth figures define diversity

To mark International Women's Day, we have spoken to a variety of top fund houses and wealth managers about their definition of diversity, and how they hope to achieve a more inclusive workplace.

International Women's Day is all about highlighting and celebrating the role that women play across the world. But it is also about saying that the status quo is not enough.

Women still face a substantial gender pay gap across most industries, the burden of intolerable misconceptions about their place within society, and - sadly - a host of even uglier realities that remain entrenched in institutions and communities.

One such problem is diversity. Put simply: there are still not enough women in top jobs or positions of power and authority, let alone women of different backgrounds, colours and creeds.

In this video, organised and presented by Citywire Wealth Manager audience development executive Katie Gilfillan, representatives from top fund houses and wealth management firms explain their definition of diversity, and how they hope asset management can achieve greater diversity for the benefit of all.
