Aberdeen Standard Investments’ head of global fixed income has joined emerging market specialist Alquity to serve as its new chief executive officer.

Brad Crombie (pictured) formally joined the London-headquartered company in November. He replaces Chris Wehbé, who will continue to assist the board during a transitional period before stepping down.

Alquity said that the addition of Crombie, who has 18 years of industry experience, is part of plans to drive its next growth stage. Alquity now manages $350 million (£271 million) in assets across mutual funds and segregated mandates.

Crombie started his career at Aberdeen Asset Management in 2000 and rejoined in 2012 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He also sits on the business strategy committee for the Global Risk Institute in Financial Services.
