Brewin picks Cannon Street for plush new London HQ

Brewin Dolphin has signed a lease on a new London head office at 25 Cannon Street.

The lease will be for 15 years and is expected to commence in August 2021 with relocation to the new premises happening in July 2022.

The firm, which traces its origins back to 1762, is moving from its current office in Smithfield Street, Farringdon, where it has been based for the past 12 years.

Brewin has been looking for a new London base for around one-and-a-half years.

In its interim results last week, it revealed it had set aside a budget of up to £10 million for the onerous lease on its current headquarters.

The office will sit alongside its recently opened West End office.

The move follows notable office upgrades among rival firms, with Smith & Williamson announcing a relocation to St Pauls last month and Rathbones moving to Finsbury Circus earlier in 2017.

Grant Parkinson, COO of Brewin Dolphin, said: ‘The continued growth of our business means that we are expanding beyond the capacity of our current headquarters.

‘25 Cannon Street is a very high-quality development which will provide a terrific environment for both clients and colleagues.’
